Running for Cause

Last Thursday, 65 Enova employees bundled up to race at the Chicago series of the Chase Corporate Challenge. While the weather wasn’t as warm as we’d anticipated for an end of May race (one thing Chicago weather will never be is predictable), that didn’t stop us from coming out to show our support. All in all, over 25,000 runners from nearly 700 companies came out to pound the pavement with the masses on this 3.5 mile course.

Here at Enova, we were all particularly proud of our very own Allie Walters, who placed 4th out of 5,000 women. Great, job Allie!

In Allie’s words: “I was really happy with how the race went, especially since I finished 24th in the race last year.  I’m a lifelong runner but am currently in the midst of training for a marathon in Minnesota that is at the end of June.  The Corporate Challenge was a good test to see what kind of shape I was in in the midst of my marathon training and I was pleasantly surprised as I was quicker than I expected.  Overall I was pleased with the cooler weather – last year it was too warm for my liking which made it especially tough when running under Lower Wacker.  I’m already looking forward to next year’s race!”
