Enova Launches Partnership with Chicago Cares

Leading Online Lender Provides Employees with Group Volunteer Opportunities to Improve Chicago’s Communities

CHICAGO (June 5, 2014) – Enova International is kicking off a partnership with Chicago Cares, a leading service organization that fosters civic engagement, to provide employees with regular company-sponsored group volunteer opportunities. The new partnership is the latest addition to Enova’s charitable program, Enova Gives. Now through the spring of 2015, Enova will work with Chicago Cares to identify and coordinate high-impact service opportunities throughout the Chicagoland area.

“We are excited to kick off this partnership, not only for the impact we’ll be able to have on Chicago, but also for the opportunities we’ll be able to provide for our employees,” said David Fisher, CEO of Enova. “As a company with a significant proportion of Gen Y talent, we were thrilled to hear from our team members that giving back to the community was extremely important to them. Chicago Cares will connect us with volunteer projects where we can make a big impact for those who need it most.”

At Enova’s first Chicago Cares group volunteering event last month, employees contributed their time and talents to the Chicago Youth Center. Team members painted the CYC’s gymnasium, constructed and planted raised garden beds, and made fleece blankets to benefit the 700 children and young adults who rely on the CYC for educational and extracurricular opportunities.

“Chicago Cares is thrilled to welcome Enova as a partner organization,” said Jenné Myers, executive director for Chicago Cares. “Enova employees are passionate about giving back, and we are excited about the work we can do together to make a lasting difference in our communities.”

In addition to monthly group volunteer activities, this Saturday, Enova is supporting Chicago’s largest single day of service: Chicago Cares’ annual Serve-a-thon. More than 50 Enova employees will join 5,000 Chicagoland volunteers as they take on projects throughout Chicago’s neighborhoods in an effort to transform the city.
